A Few Techniques To Help You Reach Your Life Goals
Written by admin on July 21, 2010 – 5:43 PM -Do you have long term projects with short term expectations? If you do, that’s a sure trail to disappointment and failure.
Lifestyle goals like exercise and sensible diet have to become habits so as to work. A career change such as a new job or learning how to earn money at home also takes time and planning, and it does not happen overnight.
Your world has shifted. There’s voice mail, email, pagers, and faxes that have made a waiting period unsatisfactory and virtually obsolete. With info immediately available, we expect relations and goal achievement to be done the same. As you read this you know that it’s irrational to expect that, don’t you? We have been controlled by advertisers to believe that we deserve fast gratification, and that it’s readily and effortlessly available!
When you want to train a puppy dog, you know that it should take time and consistent re-strengthening. You’re ready for that, because you desire your puppy to behave in a satisfactory way. Why then, are you so patient with the puppy and so hard on yourself?
When you plant seeds in the garden, you tend them, water them, hope for daylight and nurture them. Are you nurturing yourself?
The best way to move softly and effectively towards your goals is to take a fair approach. Break your long term project goal into sub-goals. Break it into do-able, short term pieces. Today prepare the soil ; tomorrow plant the seeds.
Each action you take and each step is gratifying because you know it is contributing to the completion of your goal. You cannot rush Mother Nature with your garden, and the same is true for your goals.
This process is way more than “bloom where you are planted”, because when you are the gardener you choose what to plant and how to nurture it. Do the same for yourself, and grow yourself fantastically. Your goals will be accomplished in due time, and you will not finish up up-tight and frazzled.

Benefits of Hiring A Life Coach
Written by Autumn Morgan on September 28, 2009 – 2:16 AM -A person who needs help achieving personal growth and goals often hires a life coach. Life coaching is a service offered to people who desire to reach their fullest potential and work to the best of their personal ability.
There are several areas in which a life coach can help a person improve or become more focused. Time management, physical fitness, motivation, direction, starting a new career, or learning to adjust to new situations are all areas in which a life coach can be qualified to advise.
Many life coaches are available to speak to a client over the phone. They often offer a free assessment, a welcome package, or a survey to make sure a client would benefit from a life coach; it also helps match the client with an appropriate coach or program. Phone sessions are often supplemented by email exchanges.
A life coach’s job is to add to the success or growth a person has already achieved on his own; it is not his job to strip away things a client has already worked hard for. Oftentimes, a client is very successful in many areas of his life but needs balance in only a particular area or two; this is where a life coach is most helpful.
Clients’ ages vary. College-aged students may need help in choosing a direction. A business man or woman may need advice in their career or help in fine-tuning their business ventures. Adults may need assistance in a new direction as their kids leave home or they leave a current line of work. More seasoned individuals may just need a little help becoming more open-minded to new possibilities even in their experienced ages. Clients may also be individuals looking to start their own life-coaching business.
Even if a client knows the direction he needs to take and what ideas he would like to pursue, he needs support, a challenge, encouragement, validity, organization, or that extra push. He often needs to be held accountable to short and long term goals. These are all things a life coach is certified to help a client accomplish.

Software for Mind Mapping Made for Life
Written by Bobbie McKee on May 4, 2009 – 2:26 AM -Planning is the key for every successful event or occasion. Without planning, there will be chaos and misunderstanding. There are a lot of people who plan for birthday parties who do it months before the said event. They allot a specific time frame for the said occasion or whatever it is they plan on doing. This also goes for you when you are planning for what to do with your life 5 or 10 years from now. You have directed your plans and scope to something that has meaning. With all these planning, there is a better way to do planning in a more enjoyable and reachable process. That is through mind mapping.
Mind maps are excellent tools to manage life because it can help you easily identify your scope, values, strategies and step-by-step methods in order to achieve whatever your future will be. Here are some of the most effective tips on bringing on a life planner out of a concept map.
Step 1 – Define goals Formulation of goals will make it easier for you to define the path that you want. You make your goal/s as the center or main topic that will appear on your map. Then, add your values as topics which are free-floating. It doesn’t necessarily require you to connect it to the central idea for as long as they are positioned in the same direction because, in one way or another, they will give justice and influence to your future plans.
Step 2 – Add topics After thinking of the central idea, you can now add primary topics of the major life domains or roles in your entire life. One role can affect parts of your life but it doesn’t mean that your goals will change. The manner might differ but the plan stays the same. Like formulating plan A, plan B, and whole other plans. It is smart that you see your plans distinctly from one major role to another. This is also an effective tool to help you achieve equilibrium in your life.
Step 3 – Secondary topics can be added Strategies and steps will help you undertake the things that you want to achieve. This will reflect under the goal that consists of your context role.
If you notice that you map is becoming too cluttered because of too much goals, try considering the creation of sub-maps wherein you can tolerate a more detailed planning for each role in your life plans. In this way, you wouldn’t be confuse of your plan and not result to a cease.
You have to remember that mind maps are flexible enough to define obvious goals and at the same time, monitor your progress. There are several mapping programs that give you the chance to attach specific deadline and dates to the assigned branches; some can even let you transfer to Microsoft Office.
Numerical ranking can also be attached to the steps of your action to make it easier for you to see the sequence of your plans from the first to the last part. Furthermore, there are mind mapping details that can let you attach markers or symbols to the branches in order to show you the percentages that you have completed or achieve or what needs to be attended to first.
Using mind mapping will drive you to see things clearly in achieving your goals.

Ideas For Remembering Your Past Lives
Written by Paul White on March 26, 2009 – 4:46 AM -Do you know there are many more individuals who do believe in reincarnation than there are that do not? For some it is a way of life as in the instance of Buddhists and Hindus, as part of their religious beliefs. While many may be merely curious or looking to explore answers to some of the mysteries of life, many others may consider that it just makes the most sense when considering past lives. There are an assortment of ways to find out more about your past lives.
Journaling
One of the best ways to learn about your past lives is to begin a journal. You should write down the things you experience, even those experiences that may seem insignificant. While including the way you feel about any event, since our emotions are the strongest clues we have, that may relate to a past life. Journaling your experiences creates a written record that can aid you in piecing your clues together when using it later as a reference.
Try looking at your present life for clues. Make a list of things that you like and dislike for everything from fashion, childhood and food to architecture, cultures, climates and historical time periods. Include everything you can think of like talents, occupations, times you felt dj vu, animals, personality traits, phobias, scars and birth marks.
Write about your dreams. Sometimes past lives come through very clearly when we dream. At other times we get little hints. Past and present and combine in a dream and give us symbols that may have meaning for you in both the past and the present. Before you fall asleep, give yourself the suggestion that you want to learn about your past lives. Write down anything and everything you can remember.
Past Life Regression Therapy
Professional past life regression therapists can be most helpful, since they are able to guide you through a regression and then aid you with the interpretation of the information you receive. You will find there are a few places for training and certifying these types of therapist, for instance the International Association of Past Life Therapists and the International Association for Regression and Research and Therapies both train and certify professional therapists. You may be able to find such a therapist in your area.
Meditation
Meditation is one of the various ways to aid you in exploring your past lives. Although, meditation is a private technique that helps to find out about a past life, however, many individuals may have a hard time trusting the information that they receive, therefore, you should always trust your feelings and instincts when receiving such clues.
There may be some valuable information coming to you when the images begin flowing in and out, while meditating may feel like daydreaming to you. You should write these things down in your journal to consider later. All the while you should keep in mind that your mind is extremely suggestible and will pull up that which you ask of if, however, you should always stay positive, rather than telling yourself that you cannot retrieve the information you seek. Your mind will believe anything you tell it.
Visual stimulus such as candle flames can be very beneficial for some individuals during meditation, while others may find sound to be very stimulating. You might consider the use of a therapists, recorded guided meditation session or simple repeated sounds, such as “om” or even Tibetan bells.
Some interesting benefits have recently been found in audio technology using a process called binaural beats. This uses slightly different frequencies of sound waves, playing in each ear and has results of instance relaxation, similar to that of experienced Zen monks during their meditations.
No matter which form of meditation technique you may use, be sure that it is somewhere peacefully comfortable while allowing no disturbances while meditating for the best results.
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Make sure you are in a positive, receptive frame of mind. Focus on relaxing your muscles and then quiet your mind. If unwanted concerns float in, quickly acknowledge them and let them go. This can take some practice. Focus on your heart and don’t expect anything but relaxation. If you have a question to ask, ask it and let it go. The answer will most likely come when you least expect it.
The images you receive will help you resolve something in your life, and that is what is important whatever your belief in reincarnation. It may not always be possible to prove that these images really are from a previous life, although many people do get enough information to actually research and verify names, places and events.
Some people find out that the people they love now were with them in another lifetime, although their relationship with that person may have been different. For example your father may have been your brother or even your husband in one of your past lives.
Whatever you may believe about reincarnation and past lives, most people who do try regression find what they receive to be helpful and interesting, no matter what their initial belief.

High IQ and its Correlation with Intelligence
Written by Vlad Stivenson on March 11, 2009 – 5:00 AM -Do you know what high IQ or Intelligent Quotient actually entails? Do you think of it as a definite process that would make you determine that a person is really intelligent? So how do you define having a High IQ yourself? Let’s go ahead and discuss High IQ in general so we’ll be able to get a deeper understanding on what having it can do to our lives.
High IQ and Intelligence has somewhat a statistical representation where in there is a reciprocal relationship between a couple of given variables. To whatever degree that you are most probably having been on the even average IQ, one would be able to experience cultural influences that are very transparent on most of the tests being conducted. You will actually be able to find practice tests that would give you the ability to get higher scores on other tests, now isn’t that amazing?
This statement actually shows that if you are capable of developing your skills by looking into this practice tests then you would have bigger chances of achieving higher scores for the real ones. Since it is transparent that the scores you may get may differ from one test to another, then there actually is a way to manipulate your scores so you will be able to obtain a higher percentage. This makes the statistical relationship of IQ and Intelligence weak and somehow defective.
Some reports have actually given emphasis on IQ being the basis of one’s personality. Like for instance if one is said to be very intelligent, it makes the person more prone to certain behaviors that has to deal with some suicidal effects. Or some would say that those who are intelligent would actually have the means to be able to use their IQ to be more productive and financially stable in life. It’s like saying the more intelligent you are the more chances that you’ll be able to build yourself a good life. Well even if this is actually provides a statistical relationship with those who have low IQ, it’s still beyond the doubt that intelligence may cause something like that to happen.
According to certain studies IQ may have a relationship with performing academically but then it mostly is related on one’s discipline to do so. The truth is, students that are more disciplined are the one’s who get more credit than those who are actually considered to have high-IQ. Although, this doesn’t necessarily mean that IQ has an existing relationship with self-discipline. The thing here is that it differs from one’s distinguishing feature of his or her personal nature.
Now that you are equipped with this information, you can definitely define intelligence as an important instrument that you can utilize so you will be able to develop your life in a positive way. It is having it practically applied to our daily lives will we able to obtain the benefits that it can provide us. So what you really have to look upon is how to progress as an individual by trying to look into those things that average individuals were able to gain from their own efforts before you bring more than necessary importance to High Intelligent Quotient.
