One of the biggest reasons people fail in life or business is due to procrastination. Many people fall victim to this recurring habit. It can be a daunting task to get rid of procrastination but there is one technique that works great for avoiding procrastination.
Simply clear your mind of distractions and focus on your most immediate priorities. At this point most will be distracted by something that is perceived to be more enjoyable or less stressful. This pattern becomes eventually becomes a habit and then most will repeat this process over and over without ones most important priorities ever getting completed. The longer a person avoids completing their most important priorities the harder it will be to finish the tasks.
The solution is to think about your greatest loss for not facing your most important priorities and what it will cost to keep procrastinating. At this point some might think of the perceived value of money that may be lost. The thought of losing money or business for not getting an important task completed can be a big motivator but there is still a more vital element that one can lose due to procrastination. The time that it will cost to you in the end to complete the task. You can always get more money but you can never get back the time that you lost due to procrastination.
If a person focuses on the value of the time that they have in relation to what it could cost them to procrastinate then they can be more determined to eliminate procrastination from their life.
